As our garden awakens for spring, we’re thrilled to kick off our third season at Campo Escondido with a special gathering on Sunday, April 13th.

For this occasion, we’re welcoming Portuguese chef Diogo Lima, aka Pai Grande, who will prepare a feast that reflects Alentejo’s culinary heritage, focusing on simple ingredients, nose-to-tail cooking, and the best seasonal produce from our farm.

Come and enjoy a long, delicious lunch, soak in the beauty of the countryside, and celebrate the new season with us.

SR. TACO FAMILY AT CAMPO

For our next Sunday lunch series at the farm, we are teaming up with our favorite family owned restaurant Sr. Taco and their mouth watering Mexican flavors.

Specialized in handmade tacos, from their corn tortillas to their sauces, Carmen, her daughter Jessica and son Francisco prepare everything in house.

Since we first walked through the door of their restaurant in Oeiras thanks to @marinclms , we’ve been absolutely addicted to their food and the warm hospitality we received every single visit.

Without a doubt the best Mexican food we had in Portugal.

It’s a real pleasure to partner with the family and host this special event at the farm.

Expect killer tacos, refreshing cheladas & mezcalitas, piñatas for the kids… and the most authentic and comforting Mexican hospitality!

FARM LUNCH


Our friend Paco, Chef at Rosamar and Java will be joining us for a very special farm-to-table meal, where he'll share his love for seafood and seasonal ingredients, crafting a menu inspired by the many countries he has lived in.

Paco's time at Faviken in Sweden guided his focus on zero waste and seasonality, principles that are also dear to us at Campo Escondido. Join us for a laid-back day of great food and good company.

Our sister Juliette Lacroix-Wasover, owner and chef of *Mayzou* restaurant in Cap Ferret, is traveling all the way from France.
She’ll be using the freshest ingredients straight from our farm. Border free cuisine, inspired by her numerous travels and local products. Ready to make the best with what our organic market garden has to offer.

Celebrate summer’s abundant plants, capturing them on fabric with natural dye techniques. Learn a new skill, engage your creativity, and connect to the flora growing at Campo Escondido. This two hour practical workshop will introduce you to the basics of working with local plant colors and printing techniques. There will also be a light farm to table lunch prepared by the Campo team. All materials and fabric included.

Fire cooking expert Chef Manuel Liebaud is back at the Farm.

With experience from institutions like Noma and Burnt Ends, Manuel brings a whole world of smoke and flavors to our table with fire techniques and simplicity.

Interested in how we tend to ours?

Please join us at the farm Saturday the 1st of June for an in-depth conversation with Andy Szymanowicz of @campo.culture along with our resident farmer João Cunha Ferreira @flower.mob to discuss our techniques for growing beautiful organic vegetables.

We will take you through the journey from seed to table:

  • soil prepping

  • sowing, when and how

  • ⁠planting and crop rotation

  • ⁠harvesting

2 hours workshop will start at 11 am followed by a farm lunch buffet.

fARM SIGNATURE LUNCH

Saturday, 8th and Sunday, 9th, come join us at Campo Escondido for our signature farm lunch.

This time, the young duo Marc Le Rohellec and Marin Colomes from Boavista Social Club will take over our kitchen.

They will be hosting a delicious 3-course meal with fresh, organic produce from our garden, using wood-fire cooking techniques.

A long family style table where everyone can sit together and enjoy the feast.

It’s going to be another relaxed and fun day at the farm.

Following on from our inaugural event of the season we are very excited to be hosting Yves, Camila and Neto from Magnolia alongside Chef Shay Ola as they prepare a family style feast showcasing dishes from their new upcoming live fire project - Calma.

As our garden is slowly springing back to life, we’re excited to reopen the doors of Campo Escondido for the first time this season.

On this special occasion, we’re partnering up once again with Argentinian Chef Ezequiel Bressia who’ll be using Patagonian traditional Curanto cooking to prepare a delicious lamb feast.

Mr Bubbles will be playing live making it all the more festive.

Come by on Saturday for more of a party atmosphere, and bring your kids on Sunday for family games and activities.
